We try to be as accurate with sizing as possible, but there may be variations within +/-5% of sizing. (Up to 10% for handmade items, and our folded rug collections)

Some of our Rugs are hand-made from durable natural fibres - like wool - The imperfections seen within are features of these rugs. This includes sprouting yarns (where the weaving processes start and finish), colour variations, foreign material (Used in the Warp and the weft), and other characteristics which may appear as defects but are signs these rugs were made with care. Natural fibre rugs do shed, we recommend a gentle Vacuum with no brush or rotating head to clean.

IMPORTANT TIP: We recommend an anti-slip pad such as RugStop. This is used underneath rugs to prevent slippage between the rug and the surface it is placed on.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the difference in monitor colours, some rug colours may vary. We try our best to represent all rug colours accurately, but cannot take responsibility.

PRODUCT CARE: Ensure to attend to spills immediately to minimise the chance of staining. Do not rub the spill. Instead, blot any liquids with a dry, absorbent, white cloth, or white paper towel.

A mild detergent and lukewarm water may need to be used. For any hasher spills, please seek specialist advice.

Professionally clean the rug every 6 – 12 months as well as rotate its position in the space.

We deliver to most locations in Australia; however we may not be able to deliver to remote locations due to courier restrictions or may need to charge for delivery. We also cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, or any location outside of Australia.

Your product will ship via one of our standard carriers. Each shipping method has its own standard for time in transit and delivery to your home or business. Delivery time can range from 1 – 14 working days depending on your location.

If delivery is attempted and nobody is available to sign for the product, it will be deemed as an ‘Authority To Leave’ transaction and the product will be left at the delivery address.

The Rug Lady Australia is dedicated to providing quality, value for money, and satisfaction for all our customers. If you’re not happy with your purchase, The Rug Lady will exchange for the value of the product purchase less our actual inbound shipping cost.

The Rug Lady must be notified via email at admin@theruglady.com.au within 7 days of receipt of the rug, while the exchange item/s must be returned within 14 days.

What will delivery cost me?

Delivery is FREE to most locations in Australia. However, please note that we may not be able to deliver to remote locations due to courier restraints or charge an additional fee to engage another courier service for remote delivery.

Do you ship internationally?

Sorry, we DO NOT ship items out of Australia.

Can I pick up from your warehouse?

Yes, pick up may be arranged at our showroom in Epping, Melbourne, Victoria.

Can I come in and view the rugs at your showroom?

Yes, we do allow the general public to visit our showroom by appointment only.  Please contact us to organise a viewing time.

It’s been over 14 days and I still haven’t received my item, what do I do?

Please contact us and we will contact the courier company for you and ascertain the location of the item.

The item I ordered is slightly different in colour than what is displayed on your website?

Please note, we try to make sure the images on our website are as accurate as possible, however the amount of light in a room can alter the colour shade of a rug so please allow for slight colour variations.           

Do you send out sample swatches?

No, unfortunately we do not.

Can I return the rug if I don’t like it and swap it for something else?

Yes, The Rug Lady will exchange to the value of the product purchase less our actual inbound shipping cost.

Has child labour been used?

We avoid any rugs that have been made by children who have been exploited, overworked, or denied an education as a consequence of their efforts as weavers.
